Chapter 177. For the Record

We arrived at the police station and my heart thumped in my chest due to nerves. I knew that I was innocent and it was not like there were any charges brought against me, they just needed to clear my side.

The detective killed the engine and then opened the door before getting out. I reached for the door on my side and got down too. When I was out, I followed the guy into the building and he led me down a hallway soon.

The place was familiar, then I remembered that I had been here a couple of times. It also reminded me that I needed to call Nora’s parents. I needed to find out if there were any updates on the DNA thing that was going on.

I mean, I could ask Detective Jacobs but I doubted that he would tell me, considering that I was not a family member of Nora.

I walked into the man’s office and sat down. He was already behind his desk. “Forgive me for saying this, but I thought we were supposed to go to an interrogation room.”
