Chapter 260. Silent Damage

I was standing in the living room while Josh was standing in the hallway that was not very far from the front door. He had insisted that he had been the one to answer the door and did not care even if Mark stood there with a shotgun. 

I had tried to beg him over and over but he just wouldn’t listen. So I just left him to do what he wanted to do as I prayed to God silently for some kind of help from above. My heart was thumping in my chest and I felt like throwing up but I hugged myself and forced myself to keep my focus on the door. 

Bam, bam, bam!

 The door was literally being banged by someone, and my best guess that itw as Mark. There was literally a doorbell out there but knowing how aggressive he could get when he was pissed, I did not expect him to ring it. 

Ringing it would seem way too calm; way too respectful. And with how angry he was, he would certainly not want to give off that energy.
