Chapter 265. A House Tour

I hesitated, Bradley’s words weighing on me more than I wanted to admit. The thought of Josh’s ex, and what had happened to her, sent a chill down my spine. 

But again, Josh had told me about her. Well, not in detail, but he had trusted me enough to tell me about her so that counted for something, right? But what if he had done the same for his ex?

What if he had confided in her just like how he had been doing for days in me? Or…maybe I was just overthinking and letting Bradley get to my head. 

I walked past him and did not look back. I started to jog again for a few minutes before picking up my pace and running. In those few minutes, my mind and body felt light, like I was floating on air, or like I was flying. 

When I reached the gate of the mansion, I came to a stop. Breathing deeply, I leaned on it and tried my best to give my lungs the air that they were crying for. After I felt better enough, I stood upright and walked into the compound, nodding
