Chapter 28. The Truth

I wet my lips and continue to mentally chew on this. This was something good, but it had the possibility of becoming very messy and dangerous. “Would this not make the blonde lady even more pissed?”

“I told you that I would handle her, right?”

“Well, you told me that about a week ago, have you done that?” I raised an eyebrow and waited for his response as I folded my arms on my chest.

Bradley ran his hand through his hair. “I would have, I really would have, but then you were very much ready to walk out of my life, Lisa. We have this connection, I can feel it so strongly, especially when I’m with you but I can’t understand how you can not feel it.”

Connection or not, I was not ready to risk my life and my family. “Listen, Bradley, if you want us to get this done; if you really want to build this contract and sign Jessica Pearson, then we need to take care of the blonde lady first. She’s dangerous and I can’t keep finding ways to upset her.”
