“No, no, you don’t get it. This is very important to him, and it was just my way of helping.”
Grace laughed. She did not chuckle or giggle, she looked right in my way and laughed. At first, it was not a scary laugh but then it became one. The moment, she stopped, I could see the rage in her eyes. She stood to her gently and pointed the gun at me, taking it off safety.
I quickly raised my hands up in surrender as I begged. “Please, please, don’t me.” Tears filled my eyes.
“Your way of helping him?” She scoffed the words, her finger dangerously close to the trigger. “Bradley is a monster, and not just figuratively, he’s a literal monster. He–he, he killed my parents right in front of me.” Her voice broke as she took a step closer to me, her eyes glossy due to the tears filling them.
