Chapter 281. Undo the Merger

Honestly, from the way that Josh and the doctor had just explained the situation, even I was convinced. But me being convinced did not really matter, did it? It was not my life that was on the line, it was the guy’s. 

We all watched him, waiting for him to say something; for him to say anything. The few seconds of silence that might have stretched even into one minute felt like torture. But then the man finally spoke. “Deal.”

“Yeah, I mean, it would be stupid to choose to 100 percent chance of dying over a forty percent chance of living. So yeah, you people can do whatever you want, I’m on board.” He smiled warmly.
