Chapter 285. Call an Ambulance

There, sprawled across the floor, was Mark, his body pale and limp, surrounded by a pool of blood. The sight made my stomach churn, and for a moment, I could not breathe. 

It felt like I had been plunged right into a nightmare that I could not wake up from. Everything seemed to stop—the world around me faded into a dull hum, and all I could focus on was him. 

“Mark,” I whispered to myself as tears freely fell from my eyes. “Mark!” I screamed then, rushing over to him, dropping to my knees beside his body. My hands trembled as I reached out, hoping—praying—that he was still alive. 

What had happened? Was he attacked? Then my eyes fell on the razor not far from him. My heart squeezed and more tears fell from my eyes. I now knew what he had done and it tore me.
