Chapter 292. Telling Them About New York

It was the next morning and I woke up next to Mark. I had returned his ring and ever since I had done that, I have been feeling light and free. 

Even though we had both decided to call it quits, I wanted to sleep right next to him one last time. No sex or anything, but I just wanted to lay there and cuddle with the man who I had thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with. 

I just wanted to feel him close to me once more. And you know what? Since he did the stupid thing, he had been much more calmer and appreciative of life. He was like a better version of himself. 

I envied him. I didn’t know how he was viewing the world but I would sure love to know.
