Chapter 5

On the second floor, there were two bedrooms, but only one was available, and the other was locked and bolted. He told me not to touch anything in his bedroom and to leave as soon as I had taken some of his clothes.

I went through his closet and tried on his t-shirts and long sleeves. The man was tall, and when I wore one of his t-shirts, it went all the way down to my knees, as did the long sleeves. I took three of his long-sleeved tops and three of his t-shirts.

I was about to leave when I changed my mind and went to check out his bathroom. It had a hot and cold shower, as planned, and I was eager to clean up before heading out. Before I started taking off my clothes and turning on the water, I locked the door.

The hot shower water soothed my exhausted body and relaxed my senses. I splurged on Dom’s shower gel because it could be my first and last time using it. I took my time washing my whole body because the next few days would be all about safeguarding and war
