Chapter 20

Jaxson quickly finished the bread and, on the run, downed the wine.

“Hmm… it’s been years since I tasted the wine,” he sneered contently. “Since I’m at the right age, perhaps, Xavier will let me drink from time to time!”

Jaxson sneered, but the smile on his lips didn’t last long. “What’s going on?” he murmured, made a complete stop with his running, and grabbed the tree to support his body.

Jaxson’s entire environment began to shake, so he leaned his whole body against the tree while thinking about what caused his dizziness.

“Is it the food?” Jaxson mumbled but quickly removed that possibility recalling it had been a few minutes before he finished it. Then alcohol came to his mind. “It’s the wine—” after thinking, he decided.

But knowing this can’t save him now… Because Jaxson’s remaining sanity is slowly fading until he collapses and loses consciousness.

Meanwhile, just like Jaxson, the same thing happened to Wesley on the other side of the fores
