After they met the queen by accident, they didn’t have any more problems.

Lyca pointed to the door in the corner and said, “This is the secret passage to the room where Adam is.”

“I heard that the castle has secret tunnels next to the one you used to get to the forest,” Xavier said as he opened the door and led the way.

“I’m not sure… The castle has many secrets, but I haven’t had a chance to find out what they are since my family has had a string of bad luck.” Lyca said this because she couldn’t hide how angry she was.

Xavier looked at Lyca. He could feel her pain, but he couldn’t help her. He can only make sure Lyca doesn’t have to go through the same hard times again.

So, Xavier will make sure to get rid of the people who could make her sad or hurt her. And the queen is at the top of his list.

After a few minutes, Xavier and Lyca came to a part of the passage where the road went in two different directions. “You can go first; I’ll go see the ol
