Two weeks. Just two weeks into officially being together… the way I want it, and yet… it already felt like she had always been mine.
Life had been good. Quietly chaotic, but good.
No more Adrian drama.
No more DNA drama.
Just us.
I haven’t been on talking terms with Loren for a while… since the last time we argued about firing Dahlia, actually. Maybe she finally got the memo. All I knew was that we were both doing our jobs and could even talk about the restaurant business without our emotions getting in the way.
I’m glad she’s also…even though partially…out of the picture.
Dahlia was back at the restaurant full-time, and though the school break meant she was around more, it didn’t make things easier. Every moment we had together felt stolen, precious. And I couldn’t help myself… I could hardly keep my eyes off her.
