Chapter 151
DAHLIA
Finally!
The moment I stepped out of the courier office, my legs almost buckled.
The box was gone. On its way to Sebastian.
Everything he ever bought me… clothes, jewellery, shoes, cards… all folded neatly inside. Every memory packaged. Every trace of him in my life was cut clean.
Izzy said it was childish. But her reason was that I have the right to keep things that remind me of him…things I benefitted from in the brief relationship. But it has nothing to do with my actual reasons for returning them.
I want to hurt him…intentionally. I want him to feel, if not exactly, at least a level of pain… the kind that he made me go through.
That, maybe I agree, was childish.
But I hadn’t stopped there.
Underneath all of it, I had tucked in the documents I’d dug up for him. I had snapped my mother’s diary and made a copy of it in document form. Everything I had managed to find about his parents. Names. Reports. Orphanage transfers.
