Chapter 24

Veronica ran through Khora city late at night, searching for something. It seemed she had been running for hours and hours as sweat had already started to build up across her forehead.

"Where is it? Where is it?" she kept on repeating as she moved through alleyways and streets in the city. Suddenly she noticed a small building, secluded from the others. It looked like a coffee shop, it had an umbrella and a few seats on the outside for customers. 

"Huh?" Veronica said, questioning the fact the building looked so out of place. She walked to it, placed her left palm on the door handle and pushed it open. As she stepped in, everything went black.

"please.... help me..."

"HGGGHH!" Veronica took in a deep breath as her eyelids swung open, her crimson red eyes glowed for a quick second before going back to normal.

"Veron, are you alright?" Agnese asked and Veronica said, still trying to catch her breath, "yeah I'm good. I found something."
