Chapter 30

Derrick used his large exoskeletal suit to walk round the house, searching for the demon. After the previous explosion it turned into smoke and vanished. “Hey what's going on?” Kira asked.

“Umm, how do I explain this?” Derrick said, Thought for a moment, then continued, “This… Is all a dream, my dream, and that thing that just vanished is trying to kill me…” 

“A dream? What do you mean?” Kira asked, sounding very confused. As Derrick was about to speak, the demon jumped out of a wall in front of him and pushed him back into the weapon room. The demon held the exo-suit to the ground and roared loudly, revealing its rows of long black fangs. An acid-like substance dropped from its teeth onto the suits metal frame, releasing smoke the moment it touched it.

The monster violently ripped apart Derrick's suit piece by piece until there was nothing left. Derrick moved back, moving his hands around and trying to find a weapon on the ground.
