While still wondering about his mother's whereabouts, the jobs continued to murmur meaningless words, standing along the feet of the staircase. The girl pushed the blanket away and stood up, startling again by the lightning that shook the ground.
James saw his daughter approach with hesitant steps, and the rest of the tears that intended to run down his face dried up as if by magic.
