"And?" she asks, and I sigh before answering again.

"And I tried to resist, but he and I had sex last night after the dance, and it was perfect," I say, smiling, and Maggie looks at me as if she's ready to scream.

"You and he had sex? I knew it would happen at some point. I can always guess this kind of thing. How was it? Strong and wild, or slow and tender?" I start laughing when she looks at me with a naughty expression.

"It was great; he was perfect. But enough about me; I want to know about you. What did the doctor say?" I ask, interested in her health because I want her to come home and everything to go back to normal.

Maggie told me that the doctor was going to keep her under observation for a few more days, and I was relieved to see that she was still doing well. I spend long hours with Maggie at the hospital, and when I leave, I look for a nearby bookstore.
