Olivia Martins
“Vic,” I hiccupped, my voice shaking.
“Olivia? Is that you?” She asked, sounding concerned.
“Yes,” I replied. “I’m so sorry for calling you this late.”
“It’s fine, girl. Are you alright? You don’t sound so good.”
“I’m not.” I sobbed into the phone.
“What’s wrong?” She asked, her voice soft and gentle.
I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself. “I…uh…I have nowhere to go, and I just…can I…” I trailed off.
“Of course. Want me to come get you?” She asked.
“No, no. I’ll be fine.” I cut the call and started the walk to the Peterson’s house, where Victoria currently rented a small room.
I stood on the porch and raised my hand to knock on the door. But before my knuckles made contact, the door swung open and Vic stood there, a small frown on her face.
“Hey, come in.” She said softly, inviting me in. She led me to her room and helped me settle into bed. “Want to talk about it?”
I shook my head
