Chapter 35. A True Heart
Ruby’s POV
The hot scorching sun blazed on as we stopped to catch our breath under the big Oak tree, our hands dirty, sweat drenching from our clothes, and dying of thirst but we could manage from the little water and food wrapped in a basket I took along.
The princess wiped the bead of sweat on her forehead with her left arm staring into space with a calm demeanor. If I was born a princess and my life changed into that of a downtrodden I wouldn’t be able to keep the grace, charisma, and strength she carries.
“Why are you staring at me?” She pinched my cheek with a small smile making its way to her lips and her hair scattered carelessly over her shoulders as she tried tucking them in place but the wind kept on ruining her hard work.
“You are pretty my princess.”
“Shush we are in public you can’t call me that here,” she warns and taps my arm playfully as our gaze drifts to the sacs we have successfully piled up on our strength but yet the work is far fro
