Chapter 62. True Values
Alpha Dargan’s POV
“Greetings Alpha king there is a message from one of the kingdoms and it’s sent in a scroll.” The guard knelt before me at my throne room, his knees to the floor with outstretched hands stretching forth to where I was seated comfortably.
I took the scroll and dismissed the guard before spreading it open with my fingers.
Impossible!
“I gave core instruction that every grain be distributed equally to every kingdom who dares steal from me?”
Who must have defied my orders by stealing? I marched out of the throne room heading to my chambers and on opening the door Anabelle disheveled hair and sober eyes reflected around the room as it wandered around.
She looked too good to be true. Her hair bouncing recklessly across her shoulder, the innocence in her eyes which was staring right into my broken dark soul as she peered at them when she noticed my presence in the room.
