Chapter 63. Suffering in the Land
Mirabelle’s POV
I sprinted from my seat and walked out of the study room. I had few minutes to carry out what I have in mind and I would get back to the study room like nothing happened.
I disguised my hair so well with a black lackluster shawl, wearing the simplest and plain clothes with the scarf covering the mid part of my facial features as I held onto it while walking into the market.
My gaze roamed around the busy and hectic market with people clustering around the huge stalls, apparel stores and when I got to a huge stall stocked with fresh grains.
They were sacs marked and those unmarked. What did those markings mean was it the bags stolen gotten re-sold?
“Stop blocking my business. What do you want?” A huge potbellied man hits my hands away from the stall desk. He had the meanest face I’ve seen and the worst breath stained with tobacco.
“Please I need a cup of grain to feed.”
“It cost twenty gold coins.” he answers curtly.
