Chapter 42

Scarlet was startled when Sebastian screamed at the woman but as soon as the woman was down on her knees and crying, Sebastian immediately comforted the bitch. She rolled her eyes before leaving the dining area.

A few seconds later, the sound of Sebastian’s voice filled the room. Then, she steeled herself as she braced the evening ahead. She was supposed to go out to have fun but what she witnessed earlier caused her to change her mind. She would rather go to sleep.

Scarlet went out to talk to the cab driver. She knew it was already late to cancel the booking so to make up for his compensation, she decided to send the driver away after paying giving him some cash. Then, she stealthily returned to the main door.

As she retreated to her own quarters, her mind raced, trying to make sense of the betrayal she had witnessed. Earlier, she vowed to confront him but she didn’t expect that he would bring another woman. After closing the door, Scarlet sank onto the edge of her bed b
