Chapter 49

In the morning, she was awakened by a loud knock on her door. Rubbing her eyes, she got up from bed and walked towards the door to open it. Outside, Sebastian stood, scowling at her.

"What is it, Mr. Kensington?" she asked, covering her mouth when she realized she hadn't brushed her teeth yet.

"Didn't you set your alarm clock? It's almost seven!”

Scarlet’s eyes widened upon checking the time because Sebastian was right. It was almost seven and they have to be at the resort before eight and she just got off from bed.

She wanted to tell him that they didn’t have to go to the resort because it was Sunday but he was already gone. She couldn't help but wonder if something was bothering him. He had been unusually cranky since they arrived home. No wonder his wife betrayed him.

When he returned to the dining room, she was already eating which caused him to frown. Scarlet just rolled her eyes at him.

"Sorry, I didn't wait for you and ate ahead," she expressed he
