Chapter 14

I stepped outside the building, and I heard my name behind me.

"Jill!"

I know that voice, but I can't bother to look at him anymore.

"Jill!" he called again.

"Stop following me!" I exclaimed, turning to him.

"I'm- Well, it's just nice to see you again."

"Then, just be happy and move on."

He looked at me in disbelief. "Why do you always have to be like this?"

"I already told you. I don't want to see you."

"But it seems like you will be." He smirks.

I don't like what I think he's saying. "What do you mean?"

"You do what you want, and I'll do what I want. It's kind of a win-win, don't you think?" His smile feels so insulting. He took a few steps closer, and I took a few steps back.

He scoffs as if he was the one being insulted. "Do you hate me that much?"
