Chapter 36
Despite drinking a few shots of whiskey, Louis was kind enough to drive me home. My head was spinning, and if I was sober, I should’ve ridden the bus, but God only knows what I said, and he took me to the hotel.
Good thing Lisa wasn’t around to experience the awkward atmosphere.
“Thanks for the drinks,” I told him, though I knew my voice felt loopy.
“Thank you, as well,” He winks. “You can go upstairs by yourself?”
“I can handle myself.”
“Sure, you can.” He nods, and I turn towards the main entrance.
I could only assume he was waiting for me to go inside as I heard his car honk the minute I stepped foot at the entrance. I tried so hard to push myself to shower before flopping onto my bed, and I immediately dozed off despite my wet hair.
