Chapter 66

“You can do this. You have to.” Both Vince and Jillian look at the mirror in their own bathroom. The same thought kept them holding on to a promise of happiness. Ironic how both of them felt like going in the opposite direction.

It was the day of Vince’s flight. He was busy fixing up his place and packing his belongings. After struggling to zip up one of his luggage, a piece of paper fell from the table when he pounds it in frustration. He picks it up and looks at the memory. His frustration somehow faded, and he placed Jill’s photo in the pocket of his tux.

All of his things were packed, and he was ready to leave the apartment. However, he still wasn’t ready to leave her.

“Jill?” he spoke through the phone after dialing her number. It went to voicemail, so he simply said, “I’m heading to the airport. Call me when you get this.”
