Chapter 68

At the hospital at 6 in the morning, Vince is taking care of his Mom in the emergency room. As he fixes her things, Ms. Valdez keeps talking about his son's relationship status.

"I'm saying this as your mother. I know you and that girl seems to not get you. She's holding you back."

"Mom, don't talk like that about her. You don't know her like I do."

"I know enough to know someone like her."

"Don't go judging her like you judge people applying for a job, ok?"

"But she isn't qualified."

"Mom, enough."

Ms. Valdez sighed in disappointment, but she wasn't backing down. "The moment you're gone, she'll be gone to someone else. Don't you know how many relationships she's had in the past? Well, you should know that, don't you?"

"You got into her past?"

"I asked her, and she answered. We were
