“What did I miss?” Mike teetered.
“A lot,” Ruby replied with a fancy smile on her face.
Mary quickly carried Daniel and led him to a sofa. She glanced at Mel, “When will he be awake?” she asked sternly.
“If he was possessed by a demon, he should be awake by now but for the Devil, I have no idea.”
“How did you two get in here?” Mary asked. She hasn’t forgotten she was still trying to figure out how the Devil was able to break through the wardens without being invited in. In this same way, her curiosity grew strong. If the Devil and now a banshee and a witch could get in, then, no one is safe in the castle. Perhaps, Bonnie’s warden isn’t strong as they all believed.
“Come on, Mary, that’s not how to show appreciation to the ones that just save your ass from the Devil.” Ruby made her way to Mary.
“I’m concerned about my safety and that of anyone here with me. I remember I warded this castle.”
