Chapter 143. I See Things
What Mrs. Brown said didn’t make sense to Mary. She only stared at her mother as she wonders in her heart. ‘She’s drunk. That’s why she’s hallucinating.’ It’s rude to tell a drunken folk she’s drunk. Mary can’t be mean to her mother by just telling her she’s seeing things because she’s drunk.
After thinking of a better way to say it, she finally held her mother’s palm as she opened her mouth to speak. “Dad and Mr. White are dead. You can’t be seeing them.”
“I know what I saw,” Mrs. Brown mutters expressing certainty.
“I alright, no more whisky.” Mary stood to her feet grabbing the whisky next to her mother’s purse.
As Mary makes her way to the dining table, her mother let out a scream. “Ahhh!”
With haste, Mary flicked around to know why her mother screamed only to see her burying her leg in-between her legs as she shivers in fear. “Oh no!”
As Mary ran back to her mother, she quickly grabbed her wrapping her in her arms. “I’m here mom. It’s just me
