Chapter 146. Lovers Fight

If Mary didn’t do what she has in mind to do, Mr. White will be stuck here with them forever and will continue killing innocent people. She’s not ready to see that happen. They have the Texas and New York hunters to worry about and not a vengeful spirit who can be put away once and for all.

Mary grinned. It wasn’t from her heart. She’s disappointed in Daniel. “I will not leave without putting him away,” she said.

“You mean killing him over again?”

“Is that what you think this is all about?”

Salting and burning the corpse of a vengeful spirit will only kill the spirit’s presence in the human world; thereby forcing the spirit to cross over to the other side. However, Daniel thinks differently that doing this will eventually wipe his father from both the natural and supernatural existence.

Even after Mary explained to him what will happen to his father’s spirit, he still insisted that no one will salt and burn his father’s corpse.
