Chapter 6

The soft sob penetrated Kingsley's sharp sense of hearing. In the blink of an eye, he, who had been lying on Queenza's bed, had opened the bedroom door and stood behind the girl, who was crying softly as she knelt in front of the bedroom door.

Hesitantly, Kingsley crouched down beside Queenza. He seemed to feel the pain in the girl's heart. It made him choked and breathless.

"What is it?" Kingsley asked quietly.

Instead of answering, Queenza cried harder. Her body shook slightly.

With another hesitant movement, Kingsley grabbed Queenza's head and pressed it against his hard chest. Fortunately, the girl didn't refuse. Kingsley would have been embarrassed if Queenza had pushed him away. He never entertained anyone. Usually, Queenza was the one who always entertained him.

Like when Kingsley mourned the terrible loss of his mother.
