He watched in fascination as the bigger vampire deftly manipulated the buttons and controls, recalling some of the techniques NamHu had shown him. But as they picked up speed, Saejin accelerated, taking the bike forward in a rush before braking suddenly. Heyon couldn’t help but complain as he was jostled back and forth.
“Saejin!” Heyon protested, trying to maintain his balance. The older vampire chuckled, attempting to be gentler with his maneuvers. Gradually, they set off at a smoother pace, and Heyon realized that riding on two wheels wasn’t as difficult as he had imagined.
“Just don’t leave the ground,” Heyon warned, his concern for safety evident in his voice. “It’s dangerous.”
Saejin reassured him, asking if he was wearing his ring, which would conceal their vampire identity and scent from potential hunters. Heyon showed him the ring securely fastened on his finger.
