Chapter 53. Affection (3)
Heyon slowly woke up, his stomach rumbling with hunger. He blinked his eyes open and was surprised to find his irises now glowing crimson. He stretched and yawned, calling out for Saejin.
“Saejinie?” he called out, his voice still laced with sleepiness.
Realizing he was alone in the room, Heyon brightened at the memory of something important Saejin had promised to tell him. He hopped out of bed and made his way downstairs to join the others.
As he entered the common area, the smell of blood intensified, making his mouth water even more. Aguna, the fairy he had met the day before, was busy cooking breakfast.
“Morning, Aguna,” Heyon greeted warmly, trying to ignore his ravenous appetite.
“Good morning, Heyon! Breakfast will be ready soon,” Aguna replied cheerfully.
Taking a seat at the table, Heyon’s thoughts were preoccupied with what Saejin had to tell him. The vampire was still absent, and Heyon couldn’t shake off the feeling of concern.
