Tangled Hearts: Chapter 27

“You don’t understand, I need to see him. He has been ignoring my calls,” Chris heard the voice coming from outside his office. He knew the owner of the voice but what he couldn’t figure out was why she would come to his office. He had specifically told her not to unless he invited her but then again, he has been ignoring her ever since the gala night.

“Please ma’am, I am under direct order not to let you in, don’t make this difficult for the both of us,” Daniel replied.

“Daniel, why are you speaking like you don’t know who I am? He is not going to fire you for letting me in,” Charlotte said.

“Please Ms. Dubois, my order is to not let you inside without an invite, I am just doing my job.”

Chris sighed, their bickering has distracted him already and so he pressed on the intercom and waited till it connected, “let her in,” he ordered.

“Alright sir,” Daniel replied and soon he heard, “you can go in.”

“Thank you,” Charlotte replied with a hiss before
