Tangled Hearts: Chapter 31

Chris watched as everyone was enjoying themselves in the party but truly, all his attention was on a particular deep brown haired woman in red. He couldn’t get over the fact of how beautiful she looked tonight.

The last time he had seen her was the day Sapphire arrived in France that they had bumped into her and Charlotte in the restaurant and before that day, the last time he saw her was the day she left his house. He had told himself that getting close to her would hurt him rather than heal him. He knew from experience because of how badly he was affected after she left his house.

But seeing her tonight, looking so lovely in that red dress, he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. Different scenarios flashed through his mind but like always, they can never be more than his wishful thinking.

“What have your interest like this?” A voice asked behind him and he turned to see his mom, she was looking ahead at where his gaze was earlier and he was gratefully when he saw
