Tangled Hearts: Chapter 40

Three days later, Ryan sat impatiently on a chair in a restaurant. He kept glancing at the door and checking the time on his wrist watch. His foot kept tapping on the ground and he would constantly pick up his drink and take a sip. This went on for thirty minutes before he glanced at the door once more and finally saw who he wanted to see. He gulped and sat up straight on his chair, picking his glass up and having another sip only to discover he needed yet another refill and he signaled for the waiter.

Chris walked up to him and took the seat opposite him casually. His eyes stayed on him and he said not a word. The waiter approached and refilled Ryan’s glass and then poured for Chris as well which he took and had a tiny sip from.
