Sofia's POV
"Hurry up, we have customers to attend to," I groaned, annoyed. I've been working for hours. Jack has been texting me for a while now, sending me more than two messages asking where I am and what I'm doing. His messages aren't rude or pushy, they're more curious. It's strange to take so long to reply to him, but today I've been so busy at work that I haven't been able to respond.
My life revolves around managing my relationship with Jack and with my mother, a woman who is abused by the person she married.
