Chapter 58
Jack's POV
I woke up with an unbearable headache and tried to make my way to the bathroom as best as I could; I needed a pill. The room was empty, Alana's things were neatly arranged in the drawers I'd given her, and it struck me as odd that I didn't hear any noise downstairs. I had dark circles under my eyes and a bruise on my chest. I couldn't remember anything from last night—what happened or what Benton and I did when we entered the last club. I ran my fingers over the bruise, feeling the burning sensation spread throughout the area. I searched the drawers for a cream to help alleviate the pain, but I couldn't find anything, so I decided to go downstairs and ask Alana to come with me to buy some.
Things with her have been strange. She hasn't messaged me to check where I am or what I've been doing. She hasn't asked anything, and the strangest part is that she hasn't come upstairs to check if I'm awake. Usually, Alana is always checking up on me, making sure I've eaten
