Chapter 9
(Ava's POV)
The very next day, begins the precipice of a new, glorious week. One where there are no particular incremental changes, but that they are used to already.
The first thing I notice as I walk up the stairs are his eyes. As they come into view, I feel them stuck like glue just stop the back of my head, with one plain out in front of me imaginarily. His looks are like he's talking to no one else as he speaks. The entire hotel, it seems we need to avoid him for today. I have no interest in knowing per se, what'll happen if floors aren't swept by eleven, so might as well get into it. Since I was placed in housekeeping duty and assigned the floors I would be doing with my partner everything should be a piece of cake from here.
