Chapter 10

(Dylan’s POV)

Yesterday was the most magical moment I have had in a long time. Suddenly, waking up didn’t feel as dreary as it used to be because I had something to look forward to…someone to look forward to. I make my daily preparations and head on to our waiting point. There are very few people that beat me to the waiting area and ever so, only during specific times, but there she was, with her best friend who was definitely not happy to be here so early. They were both engaged in a conversation, so they didn’t see me coming. While Lily looked like she’d waste no time shoving a bullet up her friend’s throat if she had the opportunity, Ava seemed either not to notice or as purposefully being this lively in the conversation to make Lily want to kill her more.

“Oh, look. There he is.” Lily immediately announced as soon as she saw me and Ava’s attention switched focus quickly too.

“With all due respect, Mr. Dylan Sir, you need to tell Ava to take a chill pill.” Lily
