(Dylan's POV)

Was I told relationships were never bred to be easy? Definitely. What I wasn't told was the degree of difficultly and how much alone I'd be handling those difficulties.

Ava and I have already discussed about how much I don't like mixing work with emotions and she perfectly understood...or at least it seemed like she did.

I really want to avoid her today, but it's hall patrol. I wouldn't miss it. Besides, I can't get distracted in this state. I have a clipboard in my hand... however this makes sense is beyond me.

As I trudge the alleys, I find Ava...in a guest room...fast asleep.

I move over to her and shake her awake, calling her repeatedly until she's alert enough.
