Honestly speaking, the first thing that came to my mind when she told me she killed people was something like this: an accident.
Maybe not as treacherous as she described it. I was trying to imagine something like an accidental poisoning or just plain endangering the life of somebody that led to her being the indirect causative of their death. Still, the fact that she had such a direct involvement doesn’t change the fact that it was an accident, which is exactly what it is.
I immediately notice after her story that she seems to go into a state of mild shock, almost like she is reliving the exact moment that the incident happened, and my first instinct is to calm her down.
“Savvy, open your eyes,” I say and pull her close to me, enshrouding her with my scent to stimulate her out of her nightmarish daydream.
