Chapter 28

“Do you feel okay?” Morgan Daniels asked Maia Shelton as they walked out of the lobby of GROUPE C building. The brunette hasn’t uttered a single word since they left Mrs Songsmith's office and throughout the elevator ride.

Mrs Songsmith was very happy with the progress of the first day. She had congratulated Maia on her braveness as she opened up about the assault. Then she proceeded to make an appointment for Tuesday and had prescribed some d***s for when she has trouble sleeping.

“Yes, I am okay thank you” was all Maia said as they walked towards the car. Morgan opened the door for her and waited until she got in before she walked round to the other side of the door.

“Do you want something to eat?” Morgan Daniels turned on the ignition of the car. She put the car in reverse and drove off before getting a reply from Maia.

”No, thank you,” she says, adjusting herself so her head was resting on the window, permitting her to look outside freely.
