He held Rhye’s stormy gaze while his friend tested the powder.
“Fuck, that’s strong,” Rhye cursed the moment the dust hit his tongue, and his demeanor changed as they all came to the same conclusion. “Leon this is indeed lethal to mortals.”
This shit couldn’t get onto their streets, or they’d be too distracted cleaning up the mess for the next few weeks to have any extra time to sort out the appearance of their mystery woman.
The ugly thing practically hissed his pleasure, his beady eyes gleaming in the dark, dancing with dollar signs. “Only the best for the alpha.”
“Is this crate all you got?” Rhye asked, his gaze darting to all the other crates stacked inside the container.
The beast banged his small fist against the wooden boards. “There’d be no reason to hide it from ya. These other crates hold other valuables. The alpha wants all my dust, and this crate is what I got. It’s a mighty lot more than anyone else is carrying.”
