“Will you go back to the hotel?”
Aunt Anna continued to repeat the question as her son was busy covering his body with a blanket, because it was time to show eight o’clock at night and time for a patient to rest.
Evan pulled the chair away and grabbed his mother’s hand. Was it not enough that Evan was by his side all day long? Why was the mother so upset now?
“Do you want me to sleep here? I don’t care,” said Evan. His gentle voice was always the best at calming anyone who heard it.
“I just asked. You said you were going to sleep in a hotel, but you look asleep, Evan. What’s bothering you?”
Evan was upset by the mother's words, she had not told him about the girl she had been looking for all the time, and the grandfather had said if Evan didn't want to marry the girl of his choice.
