Chapter 52
I woke up in an unknown, dark place. For a moment, I thought I had gone blind because the darkness was so dense that it felt suffocating, and it was completely impossible for me to focus on anything. I tried to move, but my hands were tied with a rope, and my feet were stuck to the floor with a short iron chain that didn't allow me to get very far.
"Where the hell am I?" I thought, feeling concerned.
I had been brought to this place several hours ago. After they took me from the estate, they injected me with some kind of sedative so that I couldn't see the way, so even if I managed to escape, I wouldn't know where the hell to go. It seemed like I was alone, though I thought I heard voices arguing, which was the reason I had woken up.
I tried not to breathe too deeply; I was in some sort of warehouse, but the building had clearly been abandoned for a long time, as the smell that entered my nose was so putrid that it made me gag repeatedly. After a few
