Amber’s POV

As the mess ends, Glaciel quickly stands and courtesy towards all three of us. Her eyes are shooting daggers towards me, but is there something else in there as well? The daggers don’t seem real, but more of a play this time, as I notice a small hint of respect behind.

“Your highnesses, princess. If it’s alright with you, I will take my leave now.” She looks to Callus for permission, but again I take the word before the king, much to his irritation I hope.

“It has been a pleasure to be in your charming company this morning, Glaciel. I do hope we will see more of each other in the near future!” I answer with a small bow of my head—a sign of respect from my part. The woman actually smiles, and this one seems genuine.
