Chapter 63. Filling in the Pieces

Amber’s POV

It’s been four days since the battle of the Dragon Lands and we have yet to get all the casualties in. We have lost a great deal of good people, and we will forever be grateful to them for fighting on the side of change and freedom.

I’ve been going between my mother, Chase, Ezra and the girls, not forgetting to show Blaze attention as well, and being Queen. It’s honestly been exhausting, but at the same time reassuring in a sense. Now I know I can handle much more than I ever thought before.

The girls have almost not been away from their father, only to help with the healing of the other wounded. They put my mother into an enchanted sleep, with my small help, so she and Galaxy can rest properly. She drained herself almost completely trying to take down Ezekiel, who we have in a magical cell down in the cellar. It is protected from the divine, as well as everyone else except for me and Blaze.
