Chapter 27. Abomination

Maze’s POV

Kiara and I spent the rest of yesterday, and a lot of today talking. No more secrets, and no more sugar coating things. I told her about my childhood, about the expectations on my behalf, and about Mira. I told her about everything that happened while Mira was gone, and what happened to me when she died in my arms. I have cried and been angry again about the unfairness of it all, but this time I had Kiara to listen and understand.

Amber and Blaze went home this morning, my sister finally sensing I have opened up completely to my mate.
