I stepped out of the car and followed Daniel’s subordinate into the building. We took the elevator to the third floor and he opened the door to one of the apartments.

It was a small place but I didn’t care; I wasn’t going to stay there anyway. I had to freshen up and call my uncle. I was sure that Daniel would finally believe that bitch and come after me.

Daniel’s man brought my luggage and then left. I stood by the window, watched him drive away, and then moved to the bathroom. I felt filthy and humiliated. I scrubbed myself until it started bleeding and my tears burned where they hit my skin.
